I've decided to archive my fic at the_frus LJ Community, as well as some of my cyber-art portraits, icons and other stuff.

Sorry, but the fan fic and almost all of the cyber art portraits and photomanips   are friends-locked.

If you want to read and see all of the contents it you'll have to friend the_frus and add a message to the jorunal entry stating that you're over 18 years of age, considered an adult by law in your place of residence and understand what you'll be reading and seeing.

* All the fic is Highlander but there is a crossover with Holby City and probably more to follow.  Most of it is slash, hence the age statement and friends-locked status.

For those of you who are already friends of the_frus:

Here's the link to the_frus Index, where feedback is greatly appreciated:

Well, I'm geeky and this is news to someone who puts together her own 'puters , surfs anthropology, archeology and history sites because...,?

Adrian's got his website back up. I can't say it's wonderful but I'm sure that once they have all the content uploaded it will be a good stop for all of his fans.

I wish the gallery was more extensive and had different frus. I've seen all but a few of them available at other places on the 'net and they're not very large. The early frus of his modeling career were nice, but again not very large and not very many. Maybe it's a bandwidth thing.

If you want to visit here's the url:

Oh well, I'm still tweaking the_frus LJ sooner or later I'll have it right. Meanwhile the frus continue the members only frus are usually my own screen caps and on the large side. For some reason they look clear and sharp in PhotoShop but on LJ they're just a bit fuzzy. I think it's Photobucket and/or ImageShack that is responsible. If you've noticed the same thing, let me know. I'd like confirmation that I don't need new glasses.

Well I've been thinking about the_frus LJ Community and I've decided to post my frus, fan fic and Photo Shop experiments there.

Right now I have to think about the index and info page(s) some of the fic and some of the photomanips will undoubtedly be adults only and I'm thinking of avoiding complications by just labeling it all friends only and monitoring the site. Most of the frus will be viewable to all but the racy stuff and the stuff i"ve sweated over restoring will be friends-locked. I have to reclassify the few friends I have on LJ too and decide on a way of adding new friends.

The first major fru offering will probably be a full ep of Peter Wingfield as Dan Clifford in Holby City. I hope I can have it up by Valentine's Day. I'll post the First Annual the-frus  Valentine's  Day  Photomanip  a few days after Valentine's Day, after the ladies on the-frus Yahoo Group have had a chance to  play with it.

Now that I've played with this LJ and I can look at it w/o wanting to close my eyes I guess I'll post.

Thursday, glorious Thursday. I had a few things to do today and I managed to get most of them done!

Let's see fandom, oh yes the fandom. I helped found an AP picture group on the ashes of one that used to be associated with a Duncan group. It was a large an fairly popular group that had the picture group and a couple of  other satellite groups. Well the original owner/listmom "retired" about 5 or 6 years ago and turned over operations to a couple of the members, then finally just one of the members was running it as the list mom. To make a long story short(er). I've been kicked out of a group in which I helped draft the rules. So has at least one other founding member that I know of and several others have left recently over differences of opinion with the list mom.

It's so strange I thought I'd be a member of this AP fru group until it ceased to exist. Now the list mom has closed the original Yahoo Group, opened another with the same name followed by a 2 and invited those she wants. I wish her luck. Things like this have a way of coming home to roost.

There is an episode of the original Twilight Zone called "Long Live Walter Jameson" wherein the main character is immortal but dies from a gunshot wound at the end of the ep. There is also the classic resurrection of Enkidu(sp?) in the Legend of Gilgamesh. Are there any others?

Does anyone have any info on how the Highlander concept of Immortals was born?

So this is what we have to replace the Usenets, Groups and Boards? I can't say I'm overly impressed. There is a very real sense of community and intimacy on the boards and groups that require membership and/or registration. Some of them are on their 9th year of operation. I don't think this will ever replace them but, it's where everything's headed so here I am.
